The moon orbits the Earth every 24 hours 50 minutes
The moon orbits the Earth in about 24 hours 50 minutes. This is called a lunar day. The resultant orbital lag between the sun and the moon causes the phases of the moon— and the TIDES.... It is the moon’s close proximity to us and the relatively strong gravitational effect it has on the Earth that causes the OCEAN TIDES to follow the moon’s lunar schedule of 24 hours and 50 minutes per cycle.
In about one month the sun and moon are again synchronized and as a result we have the new moon and the cycle repeats all over again.
|
In a stationary Earth, the moon HAS to orbit the Earth about every 24 hours. Every night at full moon, everybody on Earth can see the moon rise in the east and set in the west in a 12 hour period but they are told to attribute this motion to the moving of the Earth. Here is a quote about the moon from the final authority, the Encyclopedia Britannica: "The moon rotates about its own axis in 27.322 days, which is also the time that it takes to complete one orbit around the Earth. As a result, the moon always presents nearly the same face to the Earth. Whereas the actual rate of rotation is uniform, the distance through which the moon moves in its orbit from day to day varies somewhat. Accordingly, the face that the moon turns to Earth is subject to a corresponding cyclical variation, the lunar globe oscillating slightly ( as seen over time by a terrestrial observer ) with a period nearly equal to that of revolution. The amount of this apparent oscillation, which is called libration, is commonly between 6 and 7 degrees." ( New Encyclopedia Britannica, vol. 17, p. 299 ). |
The moon is composed of some highly reflective material that acts like a mirror. The best guess is frozen water or ice. Like the sun, the moon follows a north-south spiral, but unlike the sun, this movement takes ONE MONTH.
Solar and lunar "declinations"
The Earth is NOT tilted 23.45°degrees....It is UPRIGHT as God created man to walk UPRIGHT. The tilted Earth probably came from Galileo as he looked through the telescope and saw that some of the planets were tilted in their orbits around the sun. A tilted Earth could be an explanation for the seasons, he reasoned, as people were still apt to ask difficult questions about the reason for the seasons!
Yearly spiral pathway of the sun as it rotates around the Earth daily.
Monthly spiral pathway of the moon as it rotates around the Earth daily.
The moon follows the sun's spiral orbit but instead of taking one year it takes one month to complete its north-south spiral. The moon and sun are not perfectly synchronized in their respective daily and north-south motion so that is why we do not get solar eclipses at every new moon and lunar eclipses at every full moon.
The phases of the moon
Everybody who looks up at the moon can see that it presents a different shape or face throughout the month. These different faces are called PHASES OF THE MOON. Since Galileo and Kepler, here is the way the "scientific" community explains the different phases:
|
In this typical heliocentric diagram of the phases of the moon the sunlight is coming from a stationary sun and the moon takes a month to orbit the Earth. |
This is a typical heliocentric explanation of the phases of the moon. Notice that the sun is STATIONARY so the Earth MUST do the turning. In this scenario, the moon is moving very, very slowing around the Earth taking ONE MONTH to complete a revolution. The moon is supposed to move at a speed of about 2,000 mph or about 13 degrees to an observer on Earth. At new moon, the moon will be in front of the sun for about 3 days. At full moon, the Earth will be between the sun and moon for about 3 days also. |
How eclipses of the moon are caused
When the moon moves between the sun and the Earth it casts a shadow or umbra on the Earth, blocking or partially blocking our view of the sun. This is called a solar eclipse.
|
A solar eclipse occurs when the moon blocks the light of the sun from reaching the Earth. |
Notice how the "scientific" community describes a solar eclipse exactly as they describe a new moon phase of the moon. Real solar eclipses are very rare and last at the most 10 minutes but with the moon traveling SLOWLY in front of the sun we should get a big solar eclipse every new moon. |
When the Earth moves between the sun and the moon it casts a shadow on the face of the moon, blocking or partially blocking our view of the moon. This is called a lunar eclipse.
|
A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth blocks the light from reaching the moon. |
According to the heliocentric theory, a lunar eclipse works exactly as the phases of the full moon. The Earth is 4 times larger than the moon so with the slow moving moon we should get a lunar eclipse every full moon and it should last at least for a couple of days! |
The great celestial cover up
In the heliocentric system it is IMPOSSIBLE to have phases of the moon without having a major solar and lunar eclipse at least twice every month. The spinning Earth can't save them this time because the shadow would just move with the turning Earth and more people could view this spectacular heavenly display twice a month.
Here is a table of approximate moonrise and moonset times for the east coast of the U.S. at latitude 45 degrees and using daylight savings time. You will notice that the moon has about the same 12 hour period of Earth orbit as the sun. Try looking up every night and checking it for yourself.

Eclipses of the moon prove that the world is round!
The ancients could view eclipses of the moon just as we do today. The shadow cast on the moon is always SPHERICAL like the Earth. The Earth is 4 times larger than the moon and the Earth to moon distance is about 250,000 miles ( 402,335 kilos ) but a total eclipse fills the face of the moon exactly. Unlike a solar eclipse which lasts for minutes, the moon can take up to 7 hours to clear the Earth's entire shadow.
Lunar eclipses prove that the moon orbits the Earth in about 24 hours!
Lunar eclipses can only occur at the time of the full moon and the fast-moving moon can clear the Earth's shadow in about 7 hours.
|
A typical total lunar eclipse lasts about 1 hour and the moon clears the penumbra or shadow of the Earth in about 7 hours. That means that the moon has moved about half-way around the Earth in about 7 hours. |
Lunar eclipses occurs when the moon passes through the shadow of the Earth. When the moon is within the umbra ( or darkest ) part of the Earth's shadow, it is illuminated only by the light refracted through the Earth's atmosphere. This light is usually orange or brick-red. Totality, the length of time the moon is totally within the umbra, may last as long as 1 hour and 40 minutes. Before the moon moves into the umbra, it passes through an area of partial illumination, called the penumbra. In the penumbra, the moon appears nearly the same as when it is in the full light of the sun. The passage of the moon through the penumbra takes about 7 hours. |
The heliocentric theory has a monthly orbit of the moon only!
The heliocentric theory ignores the DAILY orbit of the moon and allows for a monthly orbit only! On closer examination, this proves to be a deadly counterfeit system because it cannot account for the movement of the moon during an eclipse. Here is a quote from the Encyclopedia Britannica:
"The moon rotates about its own axis in 27.322 days, which is also the time that it takes to complete ONE orbit around the Earth. 17, p. 299 ).
|
The heliocentric theory IGNORES the moon's daily orbit and cannot account for the rapid movement of the moon during a lunar eclipse. |
The heliocentric system has the moon moving very, very slowly around the Earth. One month is required to complete its orbit. This ignoring of the moon's daily orbit is done in order to get the Earth rotating. The heliocentric theory IGNORES the moon's daily orbit and cannot account for the rapid movement of the moon during a lunar eclipse. The moon is supposed to move at a speed of about 2,000 mph ( 3,219 kph ) or about 13° per day to an observer on Earth. |

The heliocentric model—moon moves from West to East!
To the "science" falsely so-called community, a lunar DAY is ONE MONTH:
"The moon rotates about its own axis in 27.322 days, which is also the time that it takes to complete one orbit around the Earth. 17, p. 299 ).
In order to intercept the moon for a moon landing, you MUST have a rocket powerful enough to reach the moon and you MUST know the exact coordinates of the moon in the heavens.
You could try the shotgun method e.g. shoot hundreds of rockets at the moon in the hope that one of them will get lucky and intercept it.... The Geocentric and heliocentric trajectories of the moon are completely different.
|
According to the heliocentric theory, the moon is moving COUNTERCLOCKWISE from WEST to EAST at an average speed of 1.0 km per second or 3,600 km per hour. It takes 27.3 days to circle the Earth. The moon is approximately 384,000 km from the Earth so to get the circumference of the orbit of the moon we multiply 384,000 x 2 x 3.14 which equals 2,411,528 km. Divide that by the number of seconds in 27.3 days which is 2,358.720. Then we divide 2,411,528 by 2,358,720 which gives us the number of kilometers that the moon travels in one second according to the heliocentric theory. To get the number of kilometers traveled in one hour we multiply by 3,600—the number of seconds in an hour. You definitely do not have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out. |
Of course, in the heliocentric model, the moon . . . or Earth . . . moves a lot faster during solar or lunar eclipses in order to be able to clear the Earth's shadow in a few hours!
The Geocentric and scientific model—moon moves from East to West!
The scientific method is based on OBSERVATION . . . not assumption....In other words WYSIWYG —What You See Is What You Get....In the scientific method you are ALLOWED to trust your eyes and believe that what you see is actually happening.
|
The Geocentric model has the moon traveling from EAST to WEST at approx. 98,000 kilometers per hour. |
According to the Geocentric model, the moon is moving CLOCKWISE from EAST to WEST at an average speed of 27,000 km per second or 98,424 km per hour. It takes 24 hours and 50 minutes to circle the Earth. Calculating the orbit is the same as the heliocentric model but we divide by 24 hours and 50 minutes to get the orbital speed of the moon. This is indeed faster than a speeding bullet and 4 times faster than the space shuttle or the International Space Station. |
Only one of the above models is correct and the heliocentric model is sheer lunacy because it defies common sense and observation.
The moon or Earth moves faster during eclipses!
When the moon moves between the sun and the Earth it casts a shadow or umbra on the Earth, blocking or partially blocking our view of the sun. This is called a solar eclipse.
A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth blocks the light from reaching the moon.
Solar eclipse.
Real solar eclipses are very rare and last at the most 10 minutes because the moon . . . or the Earth... SPEEDS UP during these spectacular celestial events.
Lunar eclipse
Real lunar eclipses are very rare and last at the most 10 hours because the moon . . . or the Earth . . . SPEEDS UP during these spectacular celestial events.
Moon "rockets" past the Earth on August 28, 2007, lunar eclipse!
On August 28, 2007, a total lunar eclipse occurred that saw the moon "rocket" past the Earth and clear the Earth's shadow in a few hours.
We think it was the moon that moved rapidly because nobody reported that the Earth was rotating faster!
In order to clear the Earth's shadow so rapidly, the speed of the moon was very close to the GEOCENTRIC model before it began to slow down once more to the heliocentric speed of 3,600 km per hour . . . or an Earth orbit in one month!
